Meet Makayla

With an impressive range of certifications, from Hairtalk Extensions and Brazilian Blowouts to Hair Loss Specialization and Medical Wigs. Makayla brings both artistry and compassion to her work. She’s known for transforming hair and lives through services like extensions, cuts, color correction, vivid colors, braids, locs, and stunning bridal updos.

Her passion for hair began in childhood, inspired by her cosmetologist grandmother’s ability to help women feel beautiful. When both of her grandmothers were diagnosed with cancer, Makayla saw the lack of natural-looking options for those experiencing hair loss. That sparked her mission: to create customized, confidence-boosting looks for anyone going through hair loss—whether from medical reasons or life’s natural changes.

Makayla’s favorite part of her job? That moment when a client who walked in feeling unsure sees their new look and can’t help but light up with a smile. Her thorough consultations and clear communication ensure every guest feels understood, cared for, and radiant by the end of their visit.

When she’s not in the salon, you might find Makayla enjoying time with her kids or dancing—her other passion. In fact, she’s a professional dancer who has performed in movies and TV shows, including Soul Train: The Don Cornelius Story.

Fun fact: If she weren’t a hairstylist, she’d likely be backup dancing for an artist or working somewhere in the entertainment industry.

Her ultimate soundtrack? Anything—she loves all music. And as a recent returnee to the Savannah/Pooler area from Atlanta, she’s still exploring her new local favorites.
